Salesforce Winter '27 custom domains: stable Edge targets

Salesforce Winter '27 lets custom domains served by a third party or CDN with Salesforce Edge Network use the org’s My Domain login URL as their target host name. That target remains valid when the Salesforce instance or Hyperforce cell changes.

Suggested pre-migration checklist

1. **Inventory eligible domains.** Record their current target host names and the org’s My Domain login URL as the replacement.
2. **Change the targets before migration.** Replace each eligible domain’s current target host name with the org’s My Domain login URL before the next org migration. Targets left unchanged stop working on org migration.
3. **Check the audit entry.** The switch appears in Setup Audit Trail as Publish Edge For Byo Cdn Releasable Action.
