Salesforce Winter '27 adds beta support for querying Data 360 data model objects (DMOs) with Apex cursors in API 68.0 and later. (Release note)

Query Data 360 DMOs with Apex cursors

The API provides three methods:

  • Database.getCursor() creates a cursor against a DMO SOQL query.
  • Cursor.getNumRecords() returns the total result count.
  • Cursor.fetch(position, size) retrieves result pages.

**Implementation guidance:** Test a representative DMO query using these methods: create the cursor, capture the total, then fetch pages. Reconcile the processed record count against the reported total. Record the relevant Limits values alongside those results.

Credits and limits

SOQL against DMOs consumes **Data Services credits**. The Limits class exposes Data 360 cursor-row, cursor-instance, and Flex Credit limits. The release data does not explain the relationship between Data Services credit consumption and those Flex Credit limits.

Test the 24-hour expiry path

A cursor expires **24 hours after creation**. If it expires mid-run, Apex throws System.InvalidQueryLocatorException.

**Implementation recommendation:** Record cursor creation time and test expiry handling.
